2026 Lakeville South High School Local Scholarships
Below is a list of local scholarships available to Lakeville South High School seniors. Please review the eligibility criteria carefully. Many scholarships require a supplemental application in addition to the general LSHS Local Scholarship Application. These scholarships are clearly noted below.
All applications will close at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2026. ⭐️ LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. ⭐️

➡ To be eligible for Scholarships 8–22, you must complete both the LSHS Local Scholarship Application and the 🔗 supplemental scholarship application linked within each scholarship description.

1. Apple Autos Scholarship
Two scholarships awarded at $2,500 each
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Plan to pursue a career in automotive technology
- Plan to attend a two-year college or technical school
- Have a minimum 2.5 GPA
(Note: The GPA requirement may be flexible for students enrolling in an automotive or technical program.) - Demonstrate financial need
- Demonstrate involvement in community service
2. Dakota Electric Scholarship
Ten scholarships awarded at $1,000 each
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Demonstrate strong academic achievement
- Demonstrate financial need
- Plan to attend a two-year or four-year accredited post-secondary institution
3. Kopp Family Foundation Scholarship
Three scholarships awarded at $1,000 each
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Demonstrate high academic achievement
- Demonstrate involvement in extracurricular activities
- Demonstrate leadership
- Serve as a positive role model within the school and/or community
4. Lakeville Lions Emerging Leader Scholarship
Five scholarships awarded at $2,000 each
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Demonstrate financial need
- Have a minimum 3.5 GPA
- Demonstrate involvement in community service or volunteer activities
- Be actively involved in extracurricular programs
- Demonstrate resilience and leadership through school and/or activities
- Plan to attend a technical school, or a two- or four-year post-secondary institution
5. Lon Hitch Soccer Scholarship
One scholarship awarded at $500
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Be a graduating senior who has participated in the Lakeville boys’ soccer program
- Demonstrate leadership and strong team-player qualities on and off the field
- Serve as a positive role model for peers and younger players
- Demonstrate positive leadership within the broader school community
Selection Process:
The recipient will be selected based on a recommendation from the Lakeville boys’ varsity soccer coaches.
6. Maurer Band Scholarship for Woman Leader
One scholarship awarded at $3,000
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Be a female band student
- Be an active participant in the band program
- Demonstrate exceptional musical achievement
- Demonstrate leadership within the band program
- Exhibit compassion and kindness toward others
7. The Trades Scholarship
One scholarship awarded at $1,000
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Plan to attend a technical school, vocational program, or trade school to pursue a career in the skilled trades
Scholarships 8–22 listed below require an additional application in order to be considered.
8. American Red Cross Scholarship 🔗

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Submit an essay on what you have done to contribute to the LSHS Blood Drive(s) and how your participation has impacted you.

9. Elko New Market Fire Department Relief Association Scholarship 🔗
A total of $2,000 awarded (number of scholarships to be determined)
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Demonstrate strong academic achievement
- Demonstrate involvement in volunteer or community service activities
- Plan to pursue post-secondary education and a career focused on serving others in fields such as EMS, healthcare, emergency management, firefighting, law enforcement, or related emergency service professions

10. Elko New Market Fire Department Relief Association LEGACY Scholarship 🔗
A total of $2,000 awarded (number of scholarships to be determined)
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Be the child of an active or vested Elko New Market firefighter
- Demonstrate strong academic achievement
- Demonstrate involvement in volunteer or community service activities
- Plan to attend a trade school, vocational program, certificate program, or two- or four-year post-secondary institution

11. Jake Flynn Memorial Scholarship 🔗
One scholarship awarded at $1,000
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Be an active participant in a high school athletic program
- Have completed junior year with a B average or higher in college preparatory courses
- Demonstrate financial need
- Demonstrate outstanding character, integrity, and leadership

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Be a JFK Elementary alum

13. Jostens Yearbook Leadership Scholarship 🔗
Two scholarships awarded at $1,500 each
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Have worked on the 2026 LSHS Catamount yearbook
- Demonstrate excellence in yearbook publishing
- Demonstrate proficiency in graphic design, photography, and copywriting

14. Lakeview Elementary Alumni Scholarship 🔗
One scholarship awarded at $1,000
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Be a Lakeview Elementary alum
Application Requirements:
- Submit an essay reflecting on your time at Lakeview Elementary

15. Lakeville South Boys Basketball Association Scholarship 🔗
Two scholarships awarded at $1,000 each
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Have participated in the Lakeville South Boys Basketball program at some point during their K–12 school career
- Demonstrate motivation and leadership in both academics and athletics
Application Requirements:
- Submit a short essay describing how participation in the Lakeville South Boys Basketball Association has impacted you

16. Lakeville South Girls Basketball Association Scholarship 🔗
A total of $5,000–$7,500 awarded (number of $500–$1,000 scholarships to be determined)
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Have participated in the LSGBA youth (in-house and/or travel) and/or high school program
- Demonstrate meaningful involvement in and contribution to the LSGBA program
- Demonstrate continued support of LSGBA beyond playing years, if applicable
- Reflect on personal growth and lessons learned through participation
- Provide current GPA information

17. M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital Medical Staff Student Scholarship 🔗
One scholarship awarded at $1,500
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Be a 2026 graduating senior
- Demonstrate high academic achievement
- Demonstrate outstanding school and community citizenship
- Plan to attend a two- or four-year college in the fall of 2026
*This scholarship is open to students pursuing all fields of study.

18. Nate Rasmussen Memorial Scholarship 🔗
One scholarship awarded at $2,000
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Be a graduating senior
- Demonstrate strong academic achievement
- Participate in athletics (multi-sport participation encouraged)
- Demonstrate involvement in co-curricular or extracurricular activities
- Demonstrate leadership, character, and positive citizenship
- Demonstrate involvement in community service and/or work experience
- Plan to attend a two- or four-year post-secondary institution

19. N.E.W. Lions Club Scholarship 🔗
Up to three scholarships awarded at $1,000 each
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must meet at least one of the following:
- Have a mailing address in New Market, Elko, or Webster
- Be a resident of New Market or Webster Township
- Be the son, daughter, grandchild, niece, or nephew of a current N.E.W. Lions Club member

20. Penntek Industrial Coatings Scholarship 🔗
One scholarship awarded at $1,000
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Be a graduating Lakeville High School senior
- Plan to attend, or currently be enrolled in, an accredited Minnesota technical college
- Plan to pursue a career in the skilled trades

21. Robert Innes Scholarship 🔗
Two scholarships awarded at $1,000 each
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Be a graduating senior from Lakeville South High School
- Have grown up in a rural setting
- Demonstrate involvement in agriculture or local 4-H
- Plan to attend an accredited technical college or two- or four-year post-secondary institution
Application Requirements:
- Submit a 500-word essay reflecting on experiences with rural life, agriculture, or 4-H
🔗 Supplemental Application: Robert Innes Scholarship
22. Terri Delebo Memorial Scholarship 🔗
One scholarship awarded at $2,000
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Demonstrate involvement in co-curricular activities
- Have completed the first semester of senior year at LSHS
- Have a cumulative GPA between 2.0 and 3.0
- Plan to attend a vocational or technical program, or a two- or four-year post-secondary institution
Selection Process:
- Finalists will participate in a student interview held at LSHS. Interview details will be communicated directly to selected applicants.

Establish an LSHS Scholarship
Creating a scholarship is a meaningful way to invest in the future of Lakeville South High School students. Scholarship donors interested in establishing a scholarship at LSHS are encouraged to connect with Amy Juaire in the College and Career Center.
To be designated as an LSHS Academic Scholarship, the award must be open to all LSHS seniors. Scholarships must be established by Friday, Jan. 30, 2026 for the current school year. All scholarship applications are due on Friday, March 27, 2026 with recipients selected and honored during the LSHS Senior Awards Program on Monday, May 18, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.
