MCAs
Dates for MCA
Lakeville Area Schools will be participating in the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA) this Spring. On Wednesday, April 23rd students in grades 10 & 11 will be taking the MCA. 10th graders will take the Reading and 11th graders will take the Math during the two hour late start window.
Science is April 14-17 and all students who have Biology will test in their Biology classroom on April 14 and 15 with makeups April 16 and 17.
Lakeville Area Schools along with all Minnesota school districts give the MCAs every year to measure the achievement on the Minnesota Academic Standards as well as academic progress of students over time. These assessments meet the state and federal accountability requirements per Minnesota Statute 120B.30 and ESEA.
- Individual student results will be distributed to families in Fall 2025.
- District-wide and school building results can be found on the Minnesota Department of Education website under the Minnesota Report Card.
- The MCAs represent one data point within the District’s comprehensive assessment framework.
LSHS Plan for April 23rd
On April 23rd, all students in grades 9-11 will report at normal time (8:00am).
- 9th grade: will report at 8:00am for a presentation.
- Students with last name A- Han (Counselor Mr. Uphus) will report to the Performance Gym
- Students with last name Hao-Pac (Counselor Ms. Hinrichs) will report to the Auditorium
- Students with last name Pad-Z (Counselor Ms. Stoa) will report to the Auditorium.
- 10th and 11th grade: will report to their MCA testing/Cougar time rooms at 8:00am.
- 12th grade: will have a two-hour late start and report at 10:00am. They have to complete a virtual attendance check-in via Schoology at 8:00am in their Class of 2025 Schoology page. During this time, students have the opportunity to complete their job shadow and/or college applications.
*All classes will run on the two-hour late start schedule beginning at 10:00am with the school day ending at 2:40 pm.
