Academic Lettering
Academic Lettering Awards are given to students demonstrating excellence in the classroom at Lakeville South High School. Students who qualify for an Academic Letter are given a Certificate of Lettering.
Academic Lettering Criteria
- ALL applicants must have TWO consecutive semesters with an official 3.7 GPA, or higher, by the end of each school year, to be eligible for an Academic Letter.
How to Apply for an Academic Letter
- Students must complete this form while logged into their district issued Gmail account:
- Applicant must check which year they have qualified in and are applying for.
- Applicant’s qualifications for GPA will be verified.
- If awarded an Academic Letter, students can typically pick-up their Certificate of Lettering in 7-10 days.
- Watch for an email that the award is ready and instructions about where to go to obtain it.
If this is the first time lettering either academically or in an activity or sport at South, students can purchase their chenille "L" patch for $5 from Activities, located in the Admin office. This option is while supplies last, otherwise, letters are available from various embroidery/letter jacket type athletic stores or if, already lettered in the past, subsequent lettering bars, pins, or numbers, etc... can also be purchased through the store.
