Academic Lettering
Academic Lettering Awards are given to students who demonstrate excellence in the classroom at Lakeville South High School. Students who qualify for an Academic Letter will receive a Certificate of Lettering.
Academic Lettering Criteria
To qualify, students must earn a 3.7 GPA or higher for two consecutive semesters.
When to Apply
- Freshman year letter → Apply in the fall of sophomore year
- Sophomore year letter → Apply in the fall of junior year
- Junior year letter → Apply in the fall of senior year
Senior Option
Seniors do not apply at the end of the year. However, students may still earn a letter if they meet the following:
- Semester 2 (junior year) + Semester 1 (senior year) with a 3.7 GPA
This qualifies as a Senior Academic Letter.
How to Apply for an Academic Letter
Students must complete the application form while logged into their district-issued Gmail account:
- Select the school year that matches your two qualifying semesters
- All GPA qualifications will be verified
If awarded an Academic Letter, students can typically pick up their Certificate of Lettering within two weeks.
Please keep an eye on your email for notification when it’s ready. If you have questions, email Amy.Juaire@isd194.org.
